BERG-GESUND: for happy & healthy mountain experiences in the Valley of Alpine Meadows
t 920m above sea level, the GROSSARLER HOF hotel in Grossarl near Salzburg is the perfect base for hikers. Many of those who are unfamiliar with the area prefer not to walk in the mountains unaccompanied, so the GROSSARLER HOF recommends that their guests join the guided hikes organised by the BERG-GESUND association.
This Grossarl Valley-based organisation has created an attractive walking, mountain hiking and mountaineering programme with guided tours led by state-approved hiking and climbing guides every weekday from mid-May to October. The range of activities on offer includes challenging high-altitude hikes as well as outdoor relaxation sessions, Alpine Yoga, paragliding and climbing. Plus: for guests of the GROSSARLER HOF, the activities are free of charge!
The Mountain Recharge Day is all about wellbeing and the natural world. During this pleasant hike you discover the area’s natural history and learn about healthy nutrition. The Yoga Hike is an opportunity for you to achieve balance in body, mind and spirit within the stunning Alpine setting of the Grossarl Valley. Hike & Fly means walk up the mountain, and then fly back down. Experienced paragliders take you to the best places and fly you back safely. Challenging mountain hikes to the Keeskogel (2,884m) and the Weinschnabel (2,757m) are also available, or you might like to bag all the Grossarl Valley peaks in ten stages. Via ferrata climbing tours allow even beginners to scale the rock faces easily and – most importantly – safely!
After a hike in the beautiful Valley of Alpine Meadows, the GROSSARLER HOF bids you to relax and unwind in the Erlenreich Relax & SPA’s soothing atmosphere.
