The City of Mozart – Salzburg
The city of Salzburg is only 45 minutes away from your holiday hotel in Grossarl. Wander through historic places and visit the beautiful old town; discover the Hellbrunn Palace south of Salzburg or spend some time shopping in the many boutiques and stores located in the famous “Getreidegasse” in the centre of town. Hallein Salt Mines
At the Durnberg Mountain south of the city of Salzburg one of the oldest show salt mines is located: the Hallein Salt Mines. The Celts already mined the “white gold” in these regions. Later the Salzburg prince archbishops derived great wealth with the salt from Hallein and the Salzkammergut Regions.
